The University of Dar es Salaam Computing Centre in collaboration with SMART Technologies Inc. of Canada and Edge Interactive of South Africa will launch and make a demonstration of the SMART Board interactive whiteboard.
An interactive whiteboard is a touch_sensitive screen that connects to your computer. Your digital projector displays the computer image on the screen, and you simply touch the surface to control the surface to control applications and write notes. Your finger is the mouse.
SMART Board interactive whiteboards equip classrooms with technology products to build a competitive national workforce in a global economy, and provide learners and citizens at large with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their learning endeavors. The launching ceremony shall take place at the Royal Palm Hotel on June 5, 2006 and will be opened by the Deputy Minister for Education and Vocational Training, Hon. Mwantum Mahiza.
