DEMONSTRATION OF UCC DEVELOPED e-GOVERNMENT SOFTWARES
UCC will have a special event of demonstrating our recently developed softwares. It will be officiated by the Minister for Higher Education, Science and Technology (Prof. Peter Msolla) as the guest of honor at the Workshop. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry will also attend the occasion. The purpose of the event is to present to the participants and other stakeholders the computer softwares developed by UCC LTD for government institutions. This will include demonstrations of the following: • The Academic Registration Information System (ARIS) now used for all admissions, academics and accommodation at the University of Dar es Salaam. • The Planning and Reporting System (Plan-Rep) of the Prime Minister’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PMORALG) and the Ministry of Finance, used in every Local Government Authority (LGA) for planning, budgeting and reporting on physical implementation. • The PMORALG Local government Monitoring Database currently being rolled out in every LGA - (Local Government Authority) • The PMORALG online by-law database recently rolled out to every legal officer at LGA and RAS level • The national forestry and beekeeping database now in use in many rural LGA’s • The Strategic Budget Allocation System (SBAS) used in every government ministry for budget requests and the macro version used by the Ministry of Finance for the national budget including MKUKUTA • The RIMKU software developed for the Ministry of Planning, Economy and Empowerment and in use by every government Ministry There will be an opportunity for general discussion on e-Government and the role of Higher Education Institutions. |
