UCC Ltd receives Century International Quality Era Award.
The International Selection Committee of the Business Initiative Directions (BID) of Madrid, Spain selected the University Computing Centre Limited for the Century International Quality Era Award in the Gold category for corporate achievement. The award was presented to the Managing Director of University Computing Centre Limited, Prof Beba Mutagahywa on 5 April 2004 in Geneva, Switzerland. The Business Initiative Directions (BID) is an organisation formed by European and American partners. It is renowned for its expertise in analysis of corporate image, quality programs and its worldwide endorsement program. In the past 28 years, the Business Initiative Directions has awarded companies in 166 countries, making it one of the largest quality corporate image endorsers in the world. The BID Century International quality Era Awards are in the Gold, Platinum, and Diamond categories. The UCC Ltd was selected for the award from among 9,500 companies surveyed all over the world, according to the following criteria: • Excellence in Leadership and Business Management, • Quality and Excellence, • Business and Brandname Prestige, and • Technology, Innovation and Expansion.
