ADMISSION INTO A POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (PGDIT)
1. PREAMBLE:The University Computing Centre (UCC) in collaboration Informatics Academy -Singapore are inviting interested Individuals who are interested to pursue POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY and this gives Tanzanians an opportunity to access International curriculum locally. This programme will be conducted at University Computing centre City Centre branch at its ultramodern premises. 1. This programme will be conducted at University Computing centre City Centre branch at its ultramodern premises. 2. PROGRAMME RATIONALE: The postgraduate Diploma in information technology is specially designed for participants who wish to acquire hands on practice of information technology through its tolls and techniques. 3. PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES: The course aims to equip students to work as IT managers and professional within IT related field within a variety of organizations. In addition, and more generally, the course aims to: • Provide a challenging, stimulating and self rewarding study environment • Provide a framework whereby individual study paths may be forged based on choice from a range of options. • Develop a range of keys skill by means of opportunities provided in the study units. 4. COURSE TIMING AND DURATION: • Timing: To start in August 2010 • Duration: The programme will run for (10) months • Venue: Training will be conducted from (UCC – Headquarters) from 17.00 hours to 20.00 hours (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) 5. MODE OF DELIVERY: The programme is mainly delivered through lecturers and class discussion which provide theoretical and practical skills
