UCC Conducted Cybersecurity Training for Tanzania Building Agency (TBA) IT Staff

As part of conducting specialized training to the Government Officials, UCC conducted training on Cybersecurity for Information Technology staff of the Tanzania Building Agency (TBA).

The training, held in Morogoro from Sept 8 – 12, 2025 aimed at strengthening the capacity of IT professionals to safeguard digital infrastructure, protect sensitive information, and ensure resilience against cyber threats.

The sessions covered critical areas such as:

  • Ethical Hacking Fundamentals and Reconnaissance Techniques
  • Network Scanning, Enumeration, and Vulnerability Analysis
  • System Exploitation and Web Application Attacks
  • Post-Exploitation and Defense Evasion
  • Defensive Countermeasures and Incident Response Simulation

 

Participants engaged in both theoretical and hands-on exercises, ensuring practical knowledge transfer that will directly enhance TBA’s ICT operations.

Speaking during the closing session, Mr. Japhet Kululya, the Co-facilitator commended the excellent collaboration between UCC and TBA, emphasizing the importance of cybersecurity in today’s rapidly evolving digital environment.

The training was successfully completed with active participation, and feedback from the attendees confirmed its relevance and effectiveness. This initiative marks milestone in implementing the MoU between UCC and TBA, ensuring that partner institutions are well-equipped with the right skills to deliver secure and efficient services.
